In Loving Memory of John V. Tanzilli D.M.D.

John V. Tanzilli, D.M.D., age 69 and a longtime resident of Bronxville, NY went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Monday, December 30, 2019 after a battle with cancer. Born in the Bronx on May 5, 1950, he is predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Rita Tanzilli and his sister Celeste Doria. Dr. Tanzilli was a passionate and devoted dentist, practicing dentistry for over 40 years. He built his practice in the Bronx and worked part time at Goldberg & Marcus Dental Associates in Stratford, CT for over 20 years. He was very devoted to his patients and took the time to really get to know each of them. He took special interest in their lives and treated them as family. His patients have fond memories of listening to him hum to classical music during their treatments while easing their dental anxieties. He was known amongst those who loved him to be a talented and gifted artist and was instrumental in restoring a Roman Catholic church in the Bronx. He enjoyed traveling to Italy annually, trying new foods (especially if they involved chocolate) telling jokes, and painting religious icons. He was very involved with the church and had a special devotion in helping the Sister Servants of Mary in the Bronx as they helped him in his time of need. He is survived by his dental office families and patients both in the Bronx, NY and in Stratford, CT. He touched the lives of so many with his warm friendly personality and compassionate smile. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.
