Theresa A. Bents, 86, of the Bronx, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2020.

She was born to the late Michael Healy and Margaret Oliver on July 7th, 1934, in Manhattan. She married the love of her life, Emmius Bents on September 13th, 1958, at St. Pius Church. Theresa is survived by her husband Emmie and her beloved children Margie (Jim) Codella, Michael Bents, and Mary (Robert) Dorusinec. She is also survived by her siblings Maureen Mitchell and Thomas Healy along with five grandchildren; Jimmy, Craig, Robby, Megan and Erin. Theresa was predeceased by her loving son Brian Bents and her sibling Christine Hannon.
Terry was a wife and homemaker and then worked as a teacher’s aide at Westchester Tremont Daycare Center. She loved caring for the children there, and especially for her own grandkids throughout the years.
Terry will be remembered most as a wonderful, caring people person. She and Emmie loved going places and socializing with friends and family whenever they could. She belonged to several retirement clubs where she formed many lasting friendships. She loved to sing and was a member of the Parkchester Choral group for many years. Terry cherished her faith and her parish, St Raymond’s, volunteering for many church causes and attending Mass each Sunday.
Terry will remain forever in our hearts.
