Obituary for Rosa Julia Lopez

Rosa Julia Lopez
Rosa Julia Lopez, 68, died of natural causes Wednesday, June, 29, 2022, in Waterbury, CT, surrounded by her children, and her siblings.

Rosa Julia was the daughter of Rosa Maria DeJesus, and the late Jose Manuel Lopez, Sr.
She was born March 26, 1954 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was raised in New York City, where she spent her entire youth, and most of her early adulthood. In 1990, she moved to Connecticut, where she raised her two children, and eventually began her career as a Senior Claims Specialist for the MetLife Insurance Company. Rosa retired in 2011, and from then on, devoted herself wholly to caring for her family. She was a loving, and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and so much more, and has touched the lives of so many. She was known for her hospitality, her kindness, her awesome sense of humor, and her incredible fashion sense. Her laughter was truly contagious, and she will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Jose M. Lopez, Jr., and Felix Lopez, and is survived by her mother, Rosa, her daughter, Christina Lopez-Torres (Ramon Jossia), her son, Jose M. Lopez (Lisa), and her four grandchildren, Beyoncé Lopez, Michael Lopez, Mayah Torres, and Niana Torres.

Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Anna Montalvo (Pedro), and Susan Addarich (Ruben), and her brothers, Vincent Lopez
(Cherie), and Roberto Lopez, Sr. (Cynthia), and her many nieces and nephews. In the hearts of those who knew her best, and loved her most dearly, she was an angel, and will now watch over them from above.

[Mom, while it is a small comfort to know you are not suffering, and are at peace in heaven, you will still be terribly missed. Your love will live on through our memory of you, in every moment, and every day, forever. Please continue to watch over, guide, and protect as you did while you were here with us, until we can be united again.]
