Robert Michael O’Hanlon, of Bronx, New York, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2021. Gregarious and charismatic from his youth, Dad met Patricia, the love of his life, shortly before being drafted into the United States Army. Leaving Patricia behind for bootcamp, the love story only strengthened with their separation. When Dad returned from bootcamp, Mom and Dad rushed to get married, and together they departed for Germany for the duration of the Korean War. On other furloughs, Mom, and Dad would travel through Europe and developed a deep love for one another and the “wonders” of the countries they traveled to. Dad grew to the rank of Corporal, before being Honorably discharged. Dad shaped his life with Mom as a firefighter, cook, entrepreneur, painter, real estate broker, captain, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
