Obituary for Richard M Stabile

Richard M Stabile
It is with a broken heart that I announce that on August 12, 2020, my Dad, Richard M. Stabile “Gigi” passed away.

He was loved by so many people. He was a charmer. He could talk to anyone for hours. He wanted to know about you, what movies you liked, what TV shows you watched, what you did for work, what books you read, and countless other topics. He had the best advice and everyone just wanted to talk to him. I always said he should put a sign outside and charge for his advice. He would smile and shrug his shoulders. He enjoyed it too much.

He was a native New Yorker and lived in Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx throughout his life. He was the best at giving directions and knew all the back roads and short cuts around the city.

He was the youngest of 5 siblings and is our last connection to his generation. He loved his family immensely and we loved him back just as fiercely. There are so many names to mention, but I have to say that he beamed like a shining star whenever he talked about and watched his great grand niece and nephews, Francesca Trotta, Joseph Trotta, and Anthony Stefanini. They brought him joy, happiness, and the biggest smile I have ever seen.

When you think of my Dad all I ask is that you smile a little, laugh a little, and enjoy a good meal every now and then.

Rob Stabile (the proudest son in the world)
