Message: Dear Michael, I want to light a memorial candle for you. You have always felt like a friend who is also like family since I first knew you and your loving family it seems like forever, ever since we were just coming out of our teenage years; but also for all that you have been and done for your family, friends, co-workers, many others but most especially for your young and impressionable students during the span your 40 years as teacher/counselor at St. Raymond's High School. You are honorable. You have been a beacon of light to all these many, many people and you are an extraordinary person. Rest in peace, Michael. When I think of you, I do so with very much gratitude for you and for your family who have always been so helpful, so loving, so giving to me in such a cheerful and warm way that makes me feel part of your family. Thank you. Thank you for the times of laughter and kindness and teasing and be sure to tell mom and John that this includes them. I know that you are still helping us on earth but now with your prayers from heaven. You really are a shining star as the scripture says: “Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." (Daniel 12:3)
