Condolence From: Dan D'Allara
Condolence: After the LODD death of my twin brother NYPD ESU John D'Allara on September 11, 2001 many people stepped into my life including John Quinn. Along with Rev. Bill Kalajian
and the all of the New York State Shields they cared about my grief. Lt Quinn knew my brother John from Harlem thats what made him personally special to me. His easy manner and quiet smile made him
made him a beacon of comfort. John along with Anna Vendetti were there for me when I buired my parents. I was thrilled when I was invited to his birthday party at the Turner Club.. He was so loved and respected and it has been easy to see why.
John was asleep as I sat by his beside this Wedensday past. I visited with Maureen and family as he slept. When he awoke I held his hand. He was so weak. As I left the house I looked back to see a moment of clarity in his eyes.. With a big smile he lifted his hand to wave good bye to me. My last goodbye to John will forever stay in my heart. Rest in Peace John Quinn.
