It was truly a privilege to meet you and get to know you, Jack. I adored the time I spent with you and your family. Forever rest in love & peace. "That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind." -William Wordsworth

Dear Uncle Jack, Our memories of you, always a kind and loving man. Never hurt anyone and your family was and is your pride, joy, your life. I want to share a couple of childhood memories I have of you, but there are many more. Its amazing how we remember some memories of others in our lives that make an impression and last a lifetime. When we all lived on Franklin Ave in The Bronx, I estimate I was around 5 years old, I believe it was 5 because I had not started first grade yet. Playing on sidewalk one day, I was cornered by a bunch of teenage girls, I recall one of them saying that's Jackie's nephew, where is your uncle? Next thing I know one of them kisses me and left and big red lipstick on my cheek. Another little girl saw this and starting chatting he has lipstick on his cheek, I was very embarrassed at only 5 years of age. Anyway, point is you had a following of young ladies who were attracted to you, but your heart was for only one women and wife to be, Aunt Madeline. Another memory, when we lived at 333 Alexander Ave in The Bronx, my family was on top 4th floor, and you, Grandma and Uncle Danny lived below us. This old brown stone building which was build in 1923 and still standing today had the old Dumb Waiter that was used by tenants to send down garbage to Janitor in the basement. I was now about 6 years old and you and Uncle Danny would watch me and my siblings from time to time. One day, you and Uncle Danny got the bright idea to put me in the dumb waiter box in the basement and send me up to top of our apartment floor and retrieve me from there. Going up it was dark, but I recall a lady heard the dumb waiter box moving and opened door in her kitchen, saw me and took me out of the box. I could hear you guys yelling up dumb waiter well saying, "he's ours, send him back down"! She didn't and you guys had to go to her apartment to retrieve me. I don't think my parents ever knew about your escapades. Last, when we were still kids under 10 years old, my sisters Deborah and Loretta and I always thought you looked like Elvis Presley, you had the dark thick hair and looks. Uncle Jack, you will always be in our hearts. We celebrate your soul entering heaven to be with Jesus, your parents, sister, brother, Chis, and all our relatives and friends. we love you Uncle Jackie, from Stevie, Paula Dunne and our family. xoxoxoxo
