JL and I were friends for 40 years. She was a woman of deep, personal faith and devotion to her family; a dedicated teacher and life-long educator; a supportive and loyal friend. I know she loved: everything in order; being independent; the Channel 7 News with David Muir; correct grammar; a book held in her hands; a good story; Cove Island Beach; time spent with friends; Chivas; visits with her family and surprises for the kids. Hers was a life well lived, but taken too soon. I am privileged to call her my friend.
Aunt Joanne, we love you and miss you. Things won't be the same with out you. We lost an amazing person but heaven gained an angel. We know that you are happy though being reunited with your mom and dad. We love you.
