To My Darling Husband Gerard: April 15, 2016, was the first anniversary of your death and I am still trying to cope with your loss. My life will never be the same without you. My heart is broken forever and could never be repaired. You will always be my love and I will never stop loving you. I am involved with a Bereavement Group at St. Benedict's Church. The people there are in the same predicament - all lost a loved one and this group has given me a lot of support and comfort at this very difficult time of my life. As you know, I have saved all of our greeting cards we gave to each other during our 53 years together. Even though I know I will never receive another card fro you, I am continuing the tradition of giving you cards on special occasions - I gave you one for Valentine's Day, February 14, 2016 and for your birthday, March 16, 2016.
