Dean Mickey Zippo, age 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2019, in transit to Calvary Hospital in The Bronx. He was born on August 14, 1959 to Jeanette and Emil R Zippo. He was a 1984 graduate of University of New Haven, where he met his wife Patricia. On February 27, 1988, he married Patricia at St. Benedict’s Parish in The Bronx. For the past 30 years, he was the sole proprietor of a sports and entertainment memorabilia business. He loved the Rangers, the Yankees, and was fond of many animals, specifically deer. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, son Michael and his wife Lauren, granddaughter Olivia, son Joseph, brother Robert, sisters Jeanmarie and Jane, sister in law Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents Jeanette and Emil, sister Heidi, mother in law Mildred, sister in law Millie, and brother in laws Russ and Robert.
Family and friends are invited to the Schyuler Hill Funeral Home, 3535 E Tremont Avenue, Bronx NY from 9AM to 12PM on Thursday May 2, to reminisce and grieve Mickey’s passing. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY, along with a remembrance luncheon at Carnival in Port Jefferson Station at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to MJHS Foundation and the Cancer Research Institute.
