Message: I have many goodBarney stories. I spoke with him the day before he died at Calvary Hospice. He asked me to try and call a priest at one of the local Bronx parishes to visit him at Calvary. I don't know if the priest made in there or not, but I did my best. He helped so many people.I knew him from the Anchor Club and the RDNY. His wife Jean died not long after him. My best wishes to the family on this one year anniversary

Message: I was saddened to hear of Barney's passing. I would like to send my deepest condolences to his family during this time of sorrow. Barney will be remembered in my prayers in the coming days. He will be missed at the annual Catholic Police Officers Retreat.
