Obituary for William Moen

William  Moen
William “Bill” Moen, 76, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2022.

Bill was born in the Bronx to the late Germanus and Edna Moen. Bill grew up on City Island and has been a resident of Florida for over 25 years. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army 4th Division and served during the Vietnam War. Bill was also a Retired NYC Police Detective with 20 years of service. He spent most of his career in the 42 pct, and Yankee Stadium Detail ending his career in the Bronx Narcotics Unit.

Bill was an avid New York Giants Football fan since childhood and fulfilled a dream of becoming a season ticket holder twelve years ago. He was a member of the Giants Football Club in the Treasure Coast area of Florida. He also enjoyed traveling all over the country on his Harley Davidson, including a ride from Florida to Maine. Bill loved cruising and completed over 15 cruises all over the Carribean, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the ABC Islands. Bill was also a member of the American Legion, Harley Davidson of the Treasure Coast, the Cascades Men’s Club, and the Cascades Bocce Club.

Bill was the beloved husband of Paula Cornacchia Moen, loving father of Erik Moen (Alexandra), Brian Moen, and Stacie Ciccone, and adored grandfather of Gunnar, Matteo, Abigail, and Gia. He is now reunited in Heaven with his cherished four-legged companion Inspector Clouseau.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 3-7 pm at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home, 3535 Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, March 18, 2022, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 596 City Island Avenue, Bronx, NY 10464. Interment will follow at Pelham Cemetery.
