Obituary for Patrick James Frawley

Patrick “Pat” James Frawley, age 76, of Bronx, New York went to be with our Lord Sunday
morning, August 11, 2019 at Calvary Hospital. Born August 14, 1942, in Bronx, New York, he
was the son of the late Patrick Frawley and Theresa (Naughton) Frawley.
Pat attended St. Benedict’s School and graduated from St. Helena’s High School in 1960. He
served for US Navy for four years. He was a sailor on USS Taconic for two years. After being
honorably discharged from the military service, he worked as a police officer for NYPD for 12
years including 7 years in the Mounted Police unit. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a vendor
in Manhattan and hanging out with his brothers and friends in his garage. He always found
projects to work on. He is remembered for his great sense of humor, singing Irish songs and
storytelling. He was a member of Silver Beach American Legion #1371.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Eileen (Farrell) Frawley; along with three children;
son Patrick (Donna) of Wappingers Falls, daughter Kathleen (Mark) Walter of the Bronx, son
Matthew of the Bronx,; five grandchildren, Caitlin (fiance’ Joey) Frawley, Andrew (Monica)
Walter of Deville, Louisiana, Roseleen Frawley, Caitlin Walter, and Julianna Walter; siblings
Michael, Mary, James and John and many loving nieces, n ephews, and relatives. He was
predeceased by brother Thomas.
The wake for Patrick Frawley will be held on Tuesday, August 13th and Wednesday, August
14th from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home, 3535 E Tremont Ave.,
Bronx, NY 10465. The funeral mass will be held at St. Frances de Chantal Church, 190 Harding
Ave, Bronx, NY 10465 at 10:00am. Interment with military honors will take place at Rose Hills
Memorial Park, 100 Mill St., Putnam Valley, NY 10579. Flowers may be sent to
Schuyler Hill Funeral Home.
