Nicholas F.  Ninivaggi
Nicholas Frank Ninivaggi of The Bronx passed away on Tuesday October 7, 2020 of declining health. He died peacefully.

Nick was born to Frank (Danny) and Raffaella(Fanny) Ninivaggi on September 23, 1926 and was raised in the Crotona/Belmont section of The Bronx. He was the oldest living son of six boys, his older brother(Frank) passing very early in life, Dominick (deceased), Franklin(Frank)(deceased), Vito and Angelo. Nick graduated from Gompers High School and enlisted in the Navy where he received training as electricians mate and served on the USS Wayne till the end of World War II. Returning from serving his country he married his sweetheart Camilla D’Erasmo, married 50 years and raised 5 children. The training in the Navy led him to a career as electrician working for the Bd of Ed of NYC and a member of Local #3 IBEW where he taught electrical theory in the apprentice program for 18 years. Through hard work and good family values he afforded his family a good life in The Bronx living in Pelham Pkway then to Throggs Neck.

Nick loved attending sporting events always being there to support his children and grand children. He enjoyed the outdoors going for walks and crabbing.

Nick is survived by his wife Theresa, his children Donna ( Paul), Frank (Janet) , Nicholas Jr (Joanne), John (Kathy) and Mary(deceased) ( Douglas). Also nine loving grandchildren Paul Jr ( Genine), Christopher ( Kristia,) Nicole (Robert), Daniel (Catherine), Michael (Amanda), John Jr (Katerina), Ryan, Alexis, Elisabeth and 10 loving great granddaughters Sophia, Isabella, Gianna, Natalia, Lia, Ava, Annalisa, Kristina, Gia and Vienna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Five Star Premier in Yonkers NY for their loving care and compassion for ‘NICKY’. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
