Obituary for Mary M. Reardon
On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, our beautiful mother Mary M. Reardon was called home to be reunited with her beloved husband, Hubert and son Thomas. Mary was 97 years old. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 18, 1925 to the late Joseph and Bridie McCloskey. She later moved to Bronx, NY. She was the loving mother to her four children Lorraine (James), Thomas (Maria), Daniel (Kathrine), and Hubert (Carmel). Mary was adored by her seven grandchildren Thomas (Jennifer), Sean (Jennifer), Meaghan (Donald), Elizabeth (James), Patricia (Rory), Hubert, and Teresa (Elizabeth). As well as four great grandchildren Logan, Thomas, Oliver, Charly, and scores of nieces and nephews
Mary was a strong, intelligent woman with a big heart. She worked until she was 92, spending over 40 years at Rabine Realty, and enjoyed every moment of it. Mary loved being surrounded by her family, especially during the holidays. Her heart was fullest when her home was full of those she loved. She also truly enjoyed spending time at the house that she and her husband built on the lake in Hancock, NY. which became a second home to her, full of fond memories and friends. A lover of sweets, she always made sure you had room for dessert, whether you wanted it or not. You couldn't visit Mary's home without being offered something to eat.
Viewing will be held on Saturday December 17th and Sunday December 18th from 3-7pm at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday December 19th at 10am at Saint Francis Xavier Church. 1703 Lurting Ave, The Bronx, NY 10461
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Mary's honor to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
