Condolence: Dear Pam, I learned from Jim Fahy that your mom has been called home to her eternal reward. I have such fond memories of her (and of you) during the years that I was pastor at SFdC. She was such a loving, caring, thoughtful person who did so much for the parish and parishioners whom she helped. A remarkable woman, she was an example of how to live a faith filled life with sincerity and humility. Her passing is a great loss to the parish, but like the Little Flower, I am sure that she will spend her heaven continuing to do good on earth. Please know that I will remember Martha when I celebrate Mass on Sunday. I told Father Baker that your mom died and he sends his condolences.

Condolence: We want to give thanks to God for the life of Martha, particularly for the 38 years or so that we had the privilege of knowing her, living on the same street. Her life of deep faith continues to be a witness to us. Her daughter, Pam, living across the street from us, is the dearest of friends. Her grandchildren, Renee and Rob (Pam's children) were classmates and friends growing up with our two daughters, Maria and Malissa. Our son, Paul's first job was walking Martha's dog, Patches. He is proud of that first job to this day. We pray that Martha, having gone to her Eternal Life on the Vigil of the Feast of Our Blessed Mother's Assumption, be covered in Mary's mantle as she is presented to our Merciful and Loving Lord.
