Obituary for Maria Londino
Maria a/k/a Rita M. Londino was the daughter of the late Francesco Vercellino and Elisa (Ratto) Vercellino. Maria was born on March 4, 1920 and passed peacefully on August 19, 2022 at the age of 102.
She was born in Acqui, Italy. Her family moved to Genova, Italy where she eventually met and married Peter Londino. They had two sons, William Londino and Alessandro Londino.
Peter Londino immigrated to the United States in 1954 where he was a valued employee of Londino Stone Company. Maria and sons Alessandro and William followed Peter to the United States in 1956. Peter Londino passed away on August 4, 1965 and Maria soon worked as a secretary for the Londino Stone Company for approximately seven years. She eventually found work as a social worker assistant for A.C.L.I., helping Italian Immigrants navigate the red tape in attaining their Italian pensions. She was very well liked and respected in the Italian community and loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and all who knew her.
Maria is survived by her son William Londino, daughter-in-law, Lorraine Londino, wife of Alessandro Londino, grandchildren, Elisa Connor and husband Michael Connor, John Londino, Sandra Harrington and husband Andrew Harrington, Alexander Londino and wife Kelly Londino, great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Connor, Kylie, Connor, Sèamus Connor, Sean Harrington, Colin Harrington, Ryan Harrington, Kevin Harrington, Sophia Londino and Alex Londino. She is predeceased by her husband Peter, Londino, brother, Pietro Vercellino, brother, Franco Vercellino, son Alessandro Londino and daughter-in-law Theresa Londino.
