Joseph Dunn, a retired Master Plumber (UA Local 1) and US Naval Veteran (VP-22) died on May 25, 2021 at the age of 83 years, after a heroic battle with cancer. In the face of a devastating illness, Joe will always be remembered by the pillars of his character, namely, kindness, humility, faith, courage, and resilience.
Joe was a life-long resident of New York City, living most of his life in the Bronx. He was married to Theresa Marie Dunn until her passing 20 years ago and loving father to their two children, Joseph Mathew Dunn (deceased) and Ann-Margaret Navarra. Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann-Margaret and Joseph P. Navarra, granddaughter, Theresa Lynn Navarra, and sister and brother-in-law, Patricia A. and John Flynn.
Joe was a devoted family man and loyal friend. His spirituality was best exemplified by a life well-lived in deep gratitude, and service to others. Although Joe has journeyed home to be with God the Father in heaven, the impact of his life will continue to yield much goodness, peace, and joy.
