Obituary for Grace Martz
On January 7, 2022, Grace Martz, beloved wife of the late Joseph Martz, loving mother of 7, grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 5, passed away at the age of 85.
Grace was born on April 22, 1936 to Harry and Florence Bayer.
In Grace's younger days she enjoyed bowling with the Throggs Neck Womens League and even appeared on the game show, 'Bowling For Dollars'. She was also an avid Yankee fan and loved her trips to Las Vegas with her husband Joe. Grace also enjoyed her weekly Yahtzee games with her mother in law and friends.
In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grace is predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph, and her baby daughter, Grace.
She is survived by her loving children, Lorraine (Barbara) Martz, Joseph Martz, Jr., Thomas Martz, Florence du Sablon, Robert Martz and Anne McCrink. She is also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren and 5 precious great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home in the Bronx, on January 10th from 2pm to 6pm.
Catholic mass will be held at St. Frances de Chantel in the Bronx, on Tuesday, January 11th at 10am. The burial will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
