Obituary for Florence Lucy Doyle
Doyle – Florence (nee Curley) of Bronx, New York, passed on December 28, 2020. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, her native homeland always close to her heart, Florence emigrated to New York City where she met her husband of forty-nine years, James Doyle.
Together, they raised their daughter, MaryAnn, and their two sons, James (Nina) and John (MaryAnn). They were the proud grandparents of three grandsons, John, Jr., Joseph and James and two granddaughters, Johanna and Sonya.
Florence was an avid gardener, power walker, volunteer, Eucharistic Minister and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Always intellectually curious, she enjoyed travelling locally and abroad. Florence enjoyed good conversation with family and friends and those she met along the way on her journey through life.
A woman of great faith, who kept the faith and spread it too, Florence was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
