Obituary for Douglas Boyer
Douglas B. Boyer of the Bronx New York, passed away at Westerly Hospital Rhode Island with his family by his side on November 8, 2021, at the age of 61. He was the loving son of Grace (Neri) Boyer and brother to Lori and husband Jimmy Byrne, Russell and wife Nancy Boyer, and the late Kerri Boyer and husband Angelo Senzapaura along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Douglas served his country in the United States Navy and the National Guard. He worked for the NYPD in various units during his 20 years of service. He assisted in the recovery efforts after the events of 9/11. He retired at the rank of Detective 2nd grade.
Douglas is survived by Lisa and their three children, Joseph, and wife Megan, Angela, Jennifer, and his two grandchildren Devin and Grace, along with his best friend and companion, Diesel his dog.
Doug was a kind and very generous man who enjoyed cooking, fishing, and listening to music (especially Frank Sinatra). Doug loved relaxing by the beach and most of all being surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
