Obituary for Cruz Zoraida Vigil

Mi Cruzita

I will always fall short of how to describe her, but how do you truly put into words a soul that was incomparable to anything but the sincerest feeling of love. The magnificence of the sun shining on the first warm spring day was the print of her love on you. She lived her life for her family. My beloved had a way of creating a relationship with each of us that we could only call her our best friend. She truly was mines. There is not a single aspect of my life that she is not connected to. She was spiritually gifted; she could hear your cry for help without words. I know a lot of people say things like this, but she actually did show up for everything a blizzard couldn't stop her. There was no time zone too far away. In your greatest need there she was with the most endearing touch. Cruz Zoraida Vigil entered this difficult world on May 2nd, 1943. While she was here, she molded the core the family she created through love with her 5 children (Sonia, Doris, Tony, Gus and Chez). Figuring out life with the many ups and minor downs all young mothers and their children face that are granted the gift to grow up alongside their parents. She held so many titles. Mother, Wife, Daughter of God and her Parent's, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, Hardworking Employee, Caretaker, Best cook ever, lover of music dance and the written word. Everything her hands touched was better than it was before. She was luminous as a Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother because of how deeply she loved her own children. She told me she loved us the way she did because we were the pieces of her children, she got to re love in ways she wasn't able to the first time around. She was and will forevermore be the epitome of true love and actions of service. On January 20th 2023 she closed her eyes and was welcomed into the embrace of who loved her first Some woman have spirits that are similar to lighting so terrifyingly beautiful that the physical form was not grand enough. These souls must continue their work spreading over the night sky to watch over us all I love you for longer than forever thank you for loving me
