Concetta “Tina” Rao
October 12, 1932-January 19, 2023.
Concetta “Tina” Rao, age 90, of Throggs Neck, New York entered into eternal peace with Our Father in Heaven on January 19, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Mario Balzano. Tina has one beloved brother, Ronald (Irma) Balzano. Loving mother to Joseph (Renate) Rao, and Lisa Rao; devoted grandmother of Joseph (Lisa) Rao, and Maria Rao.
Tina was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Benedicts Church in the Bronx, NY. She received communion every week until her death. She was an executive assistant to the world-renowned eye surgeon Dr. Ramon Castroviejo, and later to Dr. Stanley Birnbaum.
She traveled the world but loved nothing more than being home with her family and friends. She loved the beach, reading a good book, watching her favorite TV shows and having coffee with family and friends. She was funny and smart and had a great laugh. She was a wonderful, kind, and loving woman that will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
