Obituary for Ada Torres
On Saturday, April 10th, 2021, Ada Maria Torres slipped into eternal rest at Montefiore Hospital.
Ada, the first daughter of Sammy Torres and Deseada Santana-Ferrer, was born on April 13th, 1965 in the Bronx, New York, where she attended Lehman High School. During her time there, she participated in Dance, Choir, and many more things. Ada was a versatile & talented woman.
Although Ada grew up in the Bronx, she has moved from many places where her magnetic persona encountered so many people throughout her 55 years of living.
Anyone who knew Ada, knew she was an absolute ray of light. She was friendly and extremely charismatic. She also was able to get along with practically everybody, which is exactly why there’s so many people here, remembering her.
With all of the impressive things about Ada Torres, she also has left behind a village. Ada left behind 5 children, Ellis,Teresa, Derrell, Ciara, and Seada; 3 Grandchildren, Prestin, Xy’Aira, Xy’Farie; 6 younger sisters, Deanna, Elis, Milly, Carmen, Cathy, and Sandra; Her brother-in-law, Desmond; and a many of her loved nieces,nephews and cousins all of t, lastly all of the close friends she made throughout her lifetime.. Which is most definitely a lot.
Everyone here knows that Ada was a strong woman; so we all know she gave a good fight. But sometimes God calls to his people. She had a long life ahead of her but God knew her purpose was far more greater. Ada will be missed greatly by her family and friends but we know she will be watching down on us and protecting us.
