Obituary for Irene J. Carmosino

Irene J. Carmosino, age 80, of Bethel, CT previously of the Bronx and Yorktown, NY, Entered rest Monday, August 7, 2017 at Bethel Health Care Facility. Irene was born February 8, 1937 in the Bronx, the daughter of the late Albert and the late Irene (Meyer) Lievre. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Michael Robert Carmosino, in 1983, and her son Michael Robert Jr. 2005.

A graduate of Cathedral High School in 1955, She was later employed at the Bronx House, and as a Secretary for Dr. Judith Shapiro. Irene loved her family, and with her constant love, support and guidance was instrumental in raising her four grandchildren. Family and friends meant the world to her, A member of the Red Hat Club, she loved cooking and was an amazing cook [chef] she loved game shows, mysteries. Worked for Reader’s Digest and unfortunately, she was a huge Mets fan. Survived by her daughter, Irene “Renie” and her husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Samantha, and husband Chris, Andrew, and wife Teresa, Alexsandra and Nicolette; great grandchildren, Lacey, Brianna, Payton, and Logan.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5-8PM and Friday, August 11, 2017 from 3-8 PM, at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home, 3535 East Tremont Ave., Bronx, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday August 12, 2017 at 9:30AM, Our Lady of Assumption Church, 1634 Mahan Avenue, Bronx, NY. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY on Saturday at 10:45 am.
